Sea & Mountain Escape – A holiday brochure promoting a 2-centre green & sustainable holiday in Jamaica.

webSEOlive can provide a full range of visually oriented pdf products, either at lo-res for email dissemination and web display, or hi-res for print quality, even to glossy magazine level. Using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop we produce high quality, professionally designed promotional material. We can incorporate clients’ pre-existing text & images, or provide our own to the client’s brief.

Advantages of pdf marketing

No need for environmentally unfriendly printing & posting

Universally known & trusted format

Lo-Res and Hi-Res availability for web/email or print

Customised layouts to maximise impact of text & images

Easy format for making revisions and proof-reading

Integrates into various online “3D” book formats to host on client website

Print-on-demand functionality

Downloadable

Emailable

We have been working with the luxury eco- boutique Hotel Mockingbird Hill for 3 years, providing online PR & marketing strategies which included securing an in-depth interview with the BBC for the hotel as an authority on the importance of sustainable environmentally friendly tourism for the Caribbean.

In May 2009 webSEOlive re-launched the Hotel Mockingbird Hill website to coincide with their press presentation at JAPEX in Montego Bay.

A Content Management System with a Future

We designed & created an easy to use tri-lingual open source content management system to coincide with their plans in 2010 to extend the website’s available languages from just English to Dutch & German too.

A Convergent Secure Reservation System

We re-wrote their content and integrated & migrated them from their existing offline reservation provider toWebReserv, a convergent online secure reservations system provided which would in addition allow packages to be booked in addition to rooms.

Sociability – Keeping the World Up to Date

A WordPress blog was integrated within the site to ensure their future press releases & events were picked up quickly by the search engines via their RSS feed. Social Media is particularly fickle and changes like the wind, but we set up and integrated Facebook & Twitter accounts for the blog to feed and vice versa, so that no matter what medium potential guests looked at online they would have up-to-the minute news from the hotel and the events and activitites it offered.

We think it’s quite a virtual achievement especially as we are writing about a place we haven’t ever visited!

webSEOlive recently delivered a new CMS concept & inexpensive marketing tool for holiday home owners to promote their property rental beyond the traditional ‘4 walls’ of holiday house websites and remove the problems of payment to 3rd party agents.

webSEOlive recently delivered a new CMS concept & inexpensive marketing tool for holiday home owners to promote their property rental beyond the traditional ‘4 walls’ of holiday house websites and remove the problems of payment to 3rd party agents.

‘Life in Abruzzo’ has been developed as a online holiday companion & travel guide to Abruzzo, it’s the friend there that you don’t yet have. Its value added theme is that of providing sufficient local points of interest within the area for potential guests to determine if this is the right area for their precious holiday or mini break and which indirectly helps drive traffic to the site.

Utilising WordPress as a CMS, webSEOlive utilised a magazine style format in the same manner that the luxury high end travel magazines use but without forgetting its rustic routes. As that the site is bloggable extra comments can be added by individuals who have ‘experienced’ any of the restaurants, historical points of interest etc that can be found on Life in Abruzzo.

An online booking system for each of the holiday accommodation owners represented on the site has been developed, granting them a secure electronic database to receive payments online and manage both their bookings and their client database.

It is believed that this holiday website will play an integral marketing tool for local tourism within this part of central Italy. Few people speak English so this new English language tool will enable local businesses, Communes & Tourist Boards to submit their information to be reviewed and ensure that they appear high in the search engines in English in perfect English.

webSEOlive were approached by Villasfor2 to create a website for an exciting new project of Italian villas just for 2 people based in Abruzzo. Quite a novelty in the land of ‘la familia’. That was back in the winter of 2007… before the founders had moved to Abruzzo and built the ideal place for couples to spend a relaxing holiday in Italy off the beaten track.

By late summer 07 we had already designed the website and set up the blog. The website would go live once the villas were open to the public to rent for their Abruzzo holidays, in the meantime the WordPress driven blog would become a travel guide to this part of Chieti in southern Abruzzo whilst helping to introduce this new concept in villa rental.

The website was designed with a full php-driven content management system to make it easy for the founders to update their own site without having to pay anyone to do so, extremely important when setting up any SME. An online availability calendar and booking calendar was created to allow realtime bookings at any of the 3 villas utilising PayPal to allow anyone with a credit card to pay and reduce the cost of potential “no shows”. The full site was successfully launched in February 09, ready to take bookings for May 1st when Villasfor2 first opened their doors.

Click here to view the site in detail or of course to book a holiday in Abruzzo for 2!

The small can be great if findable

Lime Tree Farm offers luxury environmentally friendly holiday accommodation on their family run coffee farm in the Blue Mountains, Jamaica. Like many they began their web life in 2003 with a flash site – this looked fantastic, as awe inspiring as their setting and cottages, but sadly no potential clients could find them when searching for holiday accommodation in Jamaica, and those that had been referred to their site were being put off through being unable to book online.

They came to Sam Dunham with a very small web marketing budget and their first brief of just making sure they could be found online to increase their number of guests. We decided to get back to basics and simplify the website for starters and built their first search engine friendly site…

Three years later we built a CMS and integrated a WordPress blog into the site so that the owners would be easily able to email and update their latest news – there is no ADSL or landlines in the Blue Mountains ! We re-wrote their website copy so that it was optimised for both visitors and the search engines for their very niche market. It’s working and they are still our client on an ongoing basis.

Website Redesign & Launch

The first tier of the campaign was the successful soft re-launch of this German travel portal, which was designed by Sam Dunham to coincide with the world’s largest travel fair the ITB (Berlin Travel Fair) & and maximise the offline B2B awareness of the company .

The new site was not only cleaner, faster, more accessible and SEO friendly. It now utilises Traveltainment’s booking engine which means speedier online bookings for visitors and has increased labour efficiency for the staff through the creation of a tailored CMS, which was programmed by Meetia.

Copywriting Training

Search engine optimisation training days were conducted in Berlin, showing the staff how to write for both search engines and humans, onsite as well as the newsletter which webSEOlive had newly designed.

The foundation of any online marketing strategy is in being able to identify the very fickle trends & developments

The foundation of any online marketing strategy is in being able to identify the very fickle trends & developments of the Web2 & Web3 worlds, and deciding how these can be harnessed positively to influence both current & future consumer online spending patterns. There is a very thin line between investment and throwing money at something that will neither attract press nor create a positive brand association. webSEOlive has experience in being able to distinguish the shakers & movers from those who are blinded by gimmickry over substance…

One example of alternative online marketing was the relaunch of the Gratistours website, a low budget low profile travel portal. To fully capitalise on the heady success of Second Life in Germany webSEOlive proposed a viral Second Life machinima video for YouTube as well as creating a virtual island to help foster relationships & provide space online to chat about past or planned holidays.

webSEOlive commissioned La-interactiva to create the video and selected & sourced music rights from Palo Alto. During ITB (the Berlin Travel Fair), Gratistours themed their physical stand as their Second Life Island, which attracted plenty of press and a giant step in consumer brand awareness. A double-page feature about their initiative was published in two of Germany’s leading travel magazines as well as invitations to talk at subsequent travel & digital conferences across Germany, Austria & Switzerland to further aid brand awareness.
